Hylton Makes 100th Career ARCA Start


FORT WORTH TX (April 16) - Stock car racing legend James Harvey Hylton recorded his 100th career ARCA Racing Series start at Texas Motor Speedway's Rattlesnake 150 on FridayHylton's Fast Track Racing Dodge Charger experienced handling problems and finished in 37th position in the 100 lap event.  The race, captured by Chevrolet driver Steve Arpin, marked the first appearance of the ARCA Racing Series at the 1.5 mile Texas Speedway since 1998.  Hylton's next ARCA Racing Series start will come at Talladega in next Friday's ARCA 250.

Hylton recorded his first ARCA start on February 9, 1975 at Daytona International Speedway.  Hylton piloted his Nitro Nine Chevrolet to a sixth place finish in the race captured by Ron Hutcherson in his Housby Mack sponsored Plymouth.  "It was a pleasure to make my 100th ARCA start at such an outstanding facility," stated Hylton "I'm looking forward to coming back to Texas Motor Speedway next year."
