Hylton Makes 100th Career ARCA Start
FORT
WORTH TX (April 16) -
Stock car racing legend James Harvey Hylton recorded his 100th
career ARCA Racing Series start at Texas Motor Speedway's
Rattlesnake 150 on Friday. Hylton's Fast Track
Racing Dodge Charger experienced handling problems and finished in
37th position in the 100 lap event. The race, captured by
Chevrolet driver Steve Arpin, marked the first appearance of the
ARCA Racing Series at the 1.5 mile Texas Speedway since 1998.
Hylton's next ARCA Racing Series start will come at Talladega in
next Friday's ARCA 250.
Hylton recorded his first
ARCA start on February 9, 1975 at Daytona International Speedway.
Hylton piloted his Nitro Nine Chevrolet to a sixth place finish in
the race captured by Ron Hutcherson in his Housby Mack sponsored
Plymouth. "It was a pleasure to make my 100th ARCA start at
such an outstanding facility," stated Hylton "I'm looking forward to
coming back to Texas Motor Speedway next year."
Hylton Motorsports would
like to thank spotter Sara Handwerk and Don Sheffer for their
assistance during the Rattlesnake 150. Hylton
Motorsports would also like to add a note of appreciation to the
staff at Texas Motor Speedway for their hospitality during the
event.
