INMAN SC  (January 16)  - James Hylton Motorsports was privileged to have South Carolina Lt. Governor Andre' Bauer (pictured at left with Hylton) as a guest at the shop in Inman, S.C. Hylton met the Lt. Governor at Talladega in October and invited him to stop by the shop for a tour. Bauer was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives (1996 - 1999) and a member of the South Carolina State Senate (1999 - 2003), before being inaugurated as South Carolina's 87th Lieutenant Governor on January 15, 2003.

MEMPHIS TN (January 3) -  In the sport of stock car racing, their is perhaps no other town in America that can boast the heritage of Spartanburg S.C.  David Pearson, Cotton Owens, Bud Moore, and Mario Rossi head the list of those hailing from the South Carolina Piedmont community.  Last week James Hylton was honored by his home county when the Spartanburg County Council presented him with a honorary resolution during their weekly general session.  Hylton, a resident of Inman S.C., was presented the resolution and accompanying plaque by councilman Dale Culbreath (pictured at left with Hylton).  The resolution was for "expressing recognition and appreciation for the pride and honor bestowed upon Spartanburg County by James Hylton for his achievements to Motorsports". 

"It was a pretty outstanding event" stated an appreciative Hylton "Cotton Owens, Bud Moore and David Pearson have all been honored by the county, so I feel pretty honored to among such a illustrious group."

DAYTONA FL (December 19) - Legendary stock car driver James Harvey Hylton piloted his 2007 Dodge Charger to a top speed of 174.338 mph during the afternoon session of today's ARCA Series test. "The car handled well and we had a good test" remarked Hylton "we have a few adjustments to make for tomorrow to get a little more speed out of it. We will come back in February with a better motor and we will be good to go."

ORLANDO FL (December 20) - James Hylton circled the 2.5 mile Daytona International Speedway Tri-oval at a fast speed of 175.48 mph today. "We got what we wanted today," stated Hylton "we concentrated on making some chassis adjustments that should be beneficial to our effort in February. We just kinda put this deal together last minute, so I am proud of what our team accomplished this weekend."
